Event description
SEXY ED: Sex & Pleasure Workshop Series Presents: A Little Rough

About this Event

Ready to add an exciting new spark to your date nights? Interested in building trust and intensity in the bedroom? Join Dr. Ruthie for this workshop on how to safely and sensually use hands and toys to create heightened intimacy and playful adventures. You’ll get to watch live (clothed) demonstrations of several types of impact play, and if you’re feeling brave you can even volunteer to try a bit yourself! Social media doesn’t let us give you all the details here, but trust us that this a workshop you won’t want to miss. This workshop welcomes all genders, orientations, and relationship types.

Dr. Ruthie Neustifter is an openly sex-queer, non-binary genderqueer, poly, and kinky sex-positive advocate that aspires to base their work in anti-oppressive and trauma-informed approaches. Their work includes being an assistant professor at the University of Guelph’s Couple & Family Therapy program, faculty facilitator of the Sexual and Gender Diversity Lab, Co-chair of the Guelph Sexuality Conference, and author of The Nice Girl’s Guide to Talking Dirty. Their primarily qualitative research has most recently included topics and focuses such as: trans and genderqueer experiences of micro-aggressions in healthcare, intimate relationships of adult learners, experiences of queerness on campus, non-physical aspects of dating violence, texting-based sex education, and BDSM & body image.
