About this event
This event is inspired by Caribana (also known as Toronto Carnival), which is a festival of Caribbean culture and traditions held each summer in the city of Toronto. Celebrations begin July 7th and end August 12th and we are bringing some of this celebration to UTM.
This event is being held to celebrate and acknowledge students, staff and faculty of Caribbean descent, raise awareness around Caribbean culture, and celebrate Caribbean culture on a whole. Come groove to the moves of Carnival Spice, satisfy your taste buds with delicious Jamaican cuisine, while vibing to the sultry steelpan music of artist-educator Steelpanist Suzette Vidale and much more - this is an event you do not want to miss!
Please note this is a two-part event. Please RSVP for the dance session, lunch, or both!
