As a part of Northumberland County’s Multiculturalism Day Celebrations we are pleased to bring you "A Map for Cross-Cultural Success".

This workshop is intended for various agencies and organizations working with newcomers with a goal to better equip employees to deal with clients and colleagues from other cultures.

Topics for the chat will include:

  • How culture shapes our perceptions of the world
  • The differences between people from hierarchical and egalitarian cultures
  • Technical versus soft skills
  • Non-verbal as well as verbal challenges
  • Separating impact from intent
  • Perceptions of Canada and Canadians
  • Navigational Aids for Success

The workshop will take place on Multicultural Day, Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. and will be lead by Bob McArthur who is a Senior Coach and Consultant in Cross-Cultural Communications at MCB Solutions.
