Scenario: The hospital is full and the ED overcrowded. EMS is bringing you a Cardiac Arrest patient. The unexpected is about to happen and hundreds need your help! You and your TEAM have 3 hours to manage it all! Can you?
The Scenario an ICE STORM Cripples the City. Power fails, candles are lit...the roads are icy and tempers flare!
THIS REGISTRATION SITE IS FOR NON-CENTENNIAL PARTICIPANTS
Wanted: Health Care STAFF (RNs, MDs,Medics,PAs, RTs, Pharmacy, etc ) plus residents and fellows and Allied Health (Social Work, Spiritual Health, and Admin) from Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and/or Trauma or Public Health.
There are THREE Participation Opportunities:
1. Response Team: Provide patient/victim care.
2. Sim Team: Run the simulation and deliver the scenario.
3. Casualty: Play multiple casualty/family roles in the scenario.

PRE-EVENT PREPARATION: ON-LINE
Anywhere from 1-2 hours to ~5hrs Depending on Role you choose.
RESOURCES : Centennial College Simulated Hospital:
ED: complete with waiting room, registration, triage, resuscitation, monitored beds, minor and an opportunity to open beds (if you can staff them). ICU and OR. There are large classrooms that can be used for family reunification, finding shelter for people displaced from their homes (want prescriptions filled) need hydration, etc. Pharmacy, security and media...are all there as well.
Simulators, manikins and over 100+ coached students make up the casualties that are in and arrive in the hospital over a period of ~3 hours. Staff provide the care.
Who else is participating?
Students from nursing, paramedicine,police and fire foundation, medicine, physician assistants, pharmacy technician,personal support workers, social support work,hospitality & food services, and more!
