Mindfulness in Everyday Life

A Mindfulness Hamilton Retreat

Saturday, October 21, 2017

Melrose United Church

86 Homewood Ave (at Locke)

Hamilton

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

This event will be led by Mindfulness Hamilton members experienced in teaching mindfulness in the community.

Have you been challenged by how to take your mindfulness practice off the “cushion” and into the world? Mindfulness Hamilton’s Fall Retreat sheds light on this very question.

In this retreat, there will be ample opportunity for formal practice as well as time to reflect on how to bring the practice to life in both your personal life and work environment. A panel discussion will be sure to provide food for thought as panel members discuss how they bring mindfulness into their daily life and interactions. We trust you will leave refreshed and inspired!

Formal practice includes walking meditation, gentle yoga/stretching, seated meditation, body scan and mindful eating.

  • Come and enjoy the support and camaraderie of our community for this enlivening and informative day.
  • Coffee/tea will be available at registration. Morning and afternoon snacks and beverages will be supplied.
  • Please bring your own lunch.
  • Also needed: a yoga mat for the body scan and movement meditation (You may sit in a chair if you prefer.)
