During the masterclass, Lorraine will walk you through how to make Mabel's award-winning pie at home with the fruits you have on hand and ingredients in your pantry.

Mabel’s Bakery opened its doors on Roncesvalles in October of 2008. Having lived in the neighbourhood for several years, owner Lorraine Hawley and her husband, Bob Warburton, noticed a need in the area for a shop that offered great tasting foods that are of high quality. With this in mind, Mabel’s chose to specialize in homestyle baked goods, prepared foods, ready meals and artisan breads and cheeses. Mabel’s uses only the highest quality ingredients, choosing local or organic options whenever possible, with no preservatives or artificial flavouring. Lorraine and her husband sold Mabel’s to Fresh City in 2018, thrilled to have found a company that shared their passion for tasty food and the local farming communities. Today Lorraine is the Chief Production Office at Fresh City, and she is responsible for a team of 60 who make the wonderful house-made products for Fresh City, Mabel’s Bakery and The Healthy Butcher.
