Canada and Beyond: A Principles-Based Approach to Building Back Better

About this event

The Global Compact Network Canada is pleased to invite you to the fifth session of the Paving the Way for Responsible Conduct in the Decade of Action webinar series - Canada and Beyond: A Principles-Based Approach to Building Back Better, this August 12, from 1 pm - 2 pm EDT.

The pandemic has created an unprecedented shift in our approach to tackling the biggest challenges of our time. The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact within four pillars: human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption, are key issue areas that have been severely impacted but are fundamental in accelerating the actions needed to achieve the 2030 Agenda.

This webinar aims to explore how the Government of Canada is addressing these challenge areas and what are the broader implications of Canada’s international efforts to promote the principles of sustainable development in the Decade of Action.
