Ever heard something go bump in the night in a library? Wondering what skeletons might be lurking in McGill's closets?
... Bet they didn't tell you at your open house that McGill is one of the most haunted universities in Canada...
Join us! We'll tell you all the spooky stories McGill doesn't want you to know- learn who haunts the halls of your favorite study spots, and what egregius human rights violations the administration has tried for decades to keep out of the lime light.
EVENT DETAILS:
- Light (spooky, vegan, nut-free) snacks will be provided.
- Whisper translation available with 48 hours notice.
- Please refrain from wearing scents to this event.
- Dress appropriately for the weather, we will be walking outside for over an hour.
- The event will cover a large portion of campus, and will include walking up some steep hills. The route has been designed to be wheelchair friendly, but due to ongoing construction it can be hard to guarantee accessibility in practice. If you have access concerns and would like more information we are happy to provide a route map and take into account any specific needs you might have, and will do everything within our power to ensure anyone who wants to come on this tour, can!

- This is FREE, but as always, we take donations.
- In the event that this tour looks like it's going to be too crowded, we will run another one at 9pm. This announcement will be made within a few days prior, and admission will be first-come first-serve.
This event takes place on the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka. The island called “Montreal” is known as Tiotia:ke in the language of the Kanien'kehá:ka, and it has historically been a meeting place for other Indigenous nations, including the omàmiwininì or Algonquin people. As an organization that centers social and environmental justice, we feel it’s crucial to be informed on the past and ongoing consequences of colonialism. We encourage everyone to learn about the history of these lands and to support Indigenous resistance here and across Turtle Island.
Midnight Kitchen is deeply indebted to Haunted Montreal for the content of this tour. We support them in their effort to continue giving this tour on campus, an operation which was stifled by the McGill administration some years ago for being to critical of the university.
