We invite you to welcome summer with a magical outdoor Summer Soiree Workshop. Participants will engage in hands on practices for styling an outdoor party, tips and tricks to create a beautiful alfresco tablescape and an opportunity to style vignettes to photograph. Tracey Ayton will share with you her styling and photography secrets while Nerissa Goco, of The New Domestic, will demonstrate how she adds visual magic to a table.

The workshop will be set in a backyard garden in a home by the beach. We begin the day with photographing and styling vignettes around the garden and on the main dining table. We will chat about design principles, discussion on choosing a colour palette, how to layer objects and our secrets to styling with the use of summer’s bountiful fruits and vegetables, florals, textiles, cutlery and ceramics.

By mid afternoon, you will get to relax and savor an al fresco lunch around a beautiful table set in the garden. You will experience watching and photographing Mexican tostadas and Pico de Gallo made by our dear friend along with delicious sugar and cinnamon coated fried dough fritters called Bunuelos. All of this we will enjoy over lunch while sipping fruity Mexican sodas.

*** This styling workshop is all about finding your "creative eye" and capturing it on either a camera, smart phone or better yet, both. Tracey's goal for this workshops is to shed some light into what she does in order to create the vignettes that you see in her work. Heavy emphasis is on styling, however, there will be "light" guidance available throughout the day for photography tips to those that want the best chance to capture their creation and need a little boost to get there. ***
