It isn’t often that your taste buds are treated to authentic South African dishes. Josh Sawyer, chef and owner of Wich Is Wich, is in the Jill’s Table kitchen to change that. Josh will share what makes South African cooking unique by making a wonderful Cape chicken curry featuring cinnamon and saffron served with a turmeric raisin basmati rice. Next will be meiliepap, a creamy polenta, served with tamatie smoor, a rich tomato and onion gravy. The South African journey will end with Cape Malay brandy pudding, made of cake soaked in brandy with almonds, dates and Amarula Don Perdro whipped cream.
