Join us for an insightful evening of film, green technology and radicalism.

A THOUSAND DAYS OF SOLITUDE is a tense dramatic story about a prison correctional guard who witnesses a suicide in solitary confinement and experiences moral strife when the warden bullies him to confine yet another prisoner to ‘the hole’ – ultimately left with a decision, obey the warden’s protocol or fight it.

As a whole, this film encompasses shift in our perspective from old to new. Through it's unique story and it's method of using GREEN ENERGY (ie: renewable energy) to make the film; it further emphasizes that old ways can change no matter how engrained in a system.  Overall this piece acts as an ambassador for change and encourages all of us to think outside the box.

After the short film guests will gain some additional insight on the production wave of the future with a look at a more sustainable way of filmmaking using green generators from Portable Electric; as well as learn a bit about what B.C. is doing to confront solitary confinement in Canada.  There will be a Q&A with the filmmaker followed by a short reception.

To help offset costs of the event/venue, a suggested donation of $10 will be accepted at the door.  Each registered guest may bring 1 additional guest.

Door opens at 7pm, screening will happen shortly after.
