Event description

Description

Join Miriam (and her dog, Bacon) for guided, group mindfulness hikes. Enjoy exploring trails in the Okanagan with your canine. These group hikes are pet friendly, for friendly pets, and an opportunity to fuel up on nature, immersing ourselves through our senses using guided mindfulness exercises.

As we seek out a deeper connection to our inner wisdom we become increasingly conscious of our relationship with our extended environment: people, plants, animals – every living and sentient being on Earth. Making more conscious choices for ourselves we enliven within a connection to everything and everyone.

To honour this interconnectedness, and with an attitude of gratitude, these mindfulness hikes are by donation. 100% of the funds collected are micro-loaned and subsequently donated to Kiva, a social enterprise that helps to create and finance business opportunities for individuals around the globe.

Please review the following:

  • Meeting place: the parking lot of Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park (Day Use Area), at the end of Stewart Road East (just south of Saucier Rd where Bedford Rd becomes Stewart Road East).
  • Begins promptly at 6:15 AM, returning to the meeting place by approximately 7:00 AM.
  • A $5 minimum donation is requested.
  • Your pet is your responsiblity. Participants are asked to please respect the integrity of the trails and the guidelines posted. As well, participants are asked to please respect the experence of those around them by taking responsiblity for their pet.
  • Various portions of this guided mindfulness experience will honour silence. Participants are asked to be respectful of their fellow mindfulness hikers by honouring these periods of silence by pausing conversation and chatter.
