Event description

Description

Enjoy an evening of high-energy country music with some of Canada's best rising stars in the comfort of the Sussex SummerFEST big top.

Aaron Goodvin - Country singer/songwriter Aaron Goodvin has a natural ability to light up a stage, connect with his audience, and deliver a show-stopping performance, whether it’s an intimate gathering or a crowd of thousands. With over 8 million streams, back-to-back Top 10 radio singles, and a CCMA nomination under his belt, there is no doubt Aaron’s versatility and passion for both writing and performing is second to none.

Aaron released his debut album with Warner in summer 2017 with 3 Top 10 singles, starting with “Woman In Love”, going GOLD with “Lonely Drum”, and following it up with the most recent Top 10 hit “Miss Me Yet”. Playing shows and festivals from Prince Edward Island to British Columbia upon release, Aaron followed up his busy summer season with nearly 40 days on the road across the length of Canada once again, opening for Gord Bamford’s Neon Smoke Tour in early 2018. He was also nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2017 Canadian Country Music Awards.

Raised in a music loving family in Alberta, Goodvin started singing and writing at a young age, building a local reputation as a dynamic performer with a rock solid portfolio of songs. Later he started to make trips down to Nashville to test the waters and after signing with publishing powerhouse Warner Chappell Music, Aaron scored his first major league contribution with the track “Out Like That” on Luke Bryan’s multi-platinum Crash My Party. Warner Music Canada welcomed Aaron Goodvin to its roster in October 2015 and in 2016 Johnny Reid invited Aaron to join his cross-Canada tour.

Tristan Horncastle - When you hear a Tristan Horncastle song, whether it’s the Friday night anthem “She Brings The Beer” or the yearning “You Want,” you’re hearing his life. With the Canadian radio success of his Top 5 selling debut album “A Little Bit Of Alright” having established Horncastle as an undeniable breakout artist, he’s eager to share more of his life with Turnin’ Up A Sundown, released February 5th, 2016 on Royalty Records/Sony Music Canada.

Recorded at Nashville’s fabled Sound Stage Studio with producers Julian King (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill) and Bart Butler, Turnin’ Up A Sundown features eight solid cuts laid down with some of Music City’s top musicians. Since releasing his first EP in 2011, the Fredericton, New Brunswick native has shared stages with the likes of Travis Tritt, Dean Brody, Joe Diffie and Leann Rimes. Horncastle’s hard work and dedication culminated in 2015 with a nomination in the Canadian Country Music Association Awards’ Rising Star category and Canadian Radio Music Award nomination for Best New Group of Solo Artist in the Country category and most recently 3 Wins at Prix Music NB Awards for Album of the Year, Country Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice.

Along with that recognition, Tristan Horncastle’s honest songwriting and down-to- earth personality has him poised to make an indelible mark on the country music scene.

Melissa Hunt - Country rock artist and Music NB award nominee Melissa Hunt is gaining ground in Canadian country music. Melissa's debut single "Highway 83" and follow up release "Smoke & Cinders" were met with a warm welcome to radio both reaching the top 100 on the Canadian Country music chart.

She's opened for Brooke Eden, Chris Cummings, Melanie Doane and The Stanfields. She can be seen performing throughout the Maritimes during her 2018 Summer tour and is eager to share her upcoming album, promising contemporary country music at it's heartfelt best.
