Event Details

Aboriginal health information has proved difficult to search for health librarians around the world. This difficulty is a result of many issues. Health librarians in North America have begun to try to address these issues.

To discuss Aboriginal health, Aboriginal health research and how to search for that information as a librarian CHLA SIG at SLAIS has the pleasure to announce a workshop on Thursday November 14, 12 to 1 pm in Room 460 in IKLBC

The workshop will include presentations from two speakers. The first is UBC Continuing Studies instructor in the Aboriginal Health and Community Administration program and Editor in Chief of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics June Kaminski who will be talking about Aboriginal health and Aboriginal health research. The second speaker is Lee Ann Bryant a health librarian at Woodward library and aboriginal health liaison librarian at UBC who will discuss some specific techniques for searching Aboriginal health information.

We hope to see you there!
