Aboriginal Outreach and Cultural Competency Training
On November 18th, 2016, the Community Legal Clinic - Simcoe, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes will be hosting a day of Aboriginal Outreach and Cultural Competency Training for staff and board members of clinics participating in the Eastern and Central Region Transformation Project.
This event will feature:
- Cultural Competency Training by John Hupfield of the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres
- A presentation by Christa Big Canoe, Legal Advocacy Director, Aboriginal Legal Services
- A presentation on the development, initiatives and progress of our clinic’s new Aboriginal Justice Outreach Program
Lunch is included. Accommodation is available at the Casino Rama Resort on a first come, first serve basis.
This event has been accredited by the LSUC for 4 hours 15 minutes of Professionalism Hours and 2 hours 15 minutes of Substantive Content.
