Overview

Abstract Expressionism or Drip Painting is a free form of experimenting with various ways of splattering paint to create an art work.

To create paint splatter art you don't need to use brushes. You flick, throw, or drip paint directly onto a canvas.

Splatter Art is also known as “Abstract Expressionism"

One of the most known painters of this movement is Jackson Pollock

This movement started in the 1940's in New York, due to art censorship, or the banning of certain kinds of art. Today we use this form of art to express our emotions and have fun playing with colors.

Abstract art might Confuse you at first, but as you learn more and get informed, you begin to realize its power to express what words often cannot.
