Accelerate your career as a young professional: Virtual Speaker Series Part 1

Join the HC/PHAC YPN’s Regional Team from May to August for a monthly 4-part Virtual Speaker Series about progressing your career within the Government of Canada. This series is open to all public servants in HC and PHAC but will be geared towards job searching from outside of the NCR. We invite all students, casual, term, and indeterminate employees to attend!

Registration for the first session is now open! We will hear from Paul Loo (Director General for Infrastructure Canada, previously with Health Canada) and Keren Hawkins (APEX Executive) about considerations for the job search process. In this session you will learn how to:

• Determine if a job aligns with your skillset

• Obtain skills to progress your career in the Government of Canada

• Apply for Government of Canada positions outside of your department/classification

• Network in a virtual environment

Live transcription and sign language in English and French will be provided. Let us know if you require any other accommodations upon registering.
