Join us for an interactive presentation by john gieryn, building on lessons from last month’s “Access Digital Power” and taking it to the street: how do we activate connection, abundance, & relationship-building in our lives & our communities? How do we stop the extraction of local value by the global economy and the .1%? Open money may hold the answer.
We’ll discuss recent examples (with videos!), explore what local currencies look like in practice, and overview the LETSplay simulation game, which explains openmoney in a tangible & fun, group activity. We’ll have a Q&A featuring openmoney co-founder, Michael Linton, via skype.
Open money means LETS: open ways for your friends, family & community to exchange goods & services- acknowledging value, shared through connection, by a measure from within. Open money's free as in free speech (and open as in open source) community currency model lets communities work, play, & flourish.
