About this event
1 - DAY WORKSHOP | HONEYBEE FOLK SCHOOL
SATURDAY APRIL 1, 2023, 9 AM TO 4 PM
Have you ever wanted to try painting with acrylics? In this course, participants will focus on process over destination, learning through experimentation. In this workshop, we will engage in several quick studies, try different approaches, and get comfortable with the medium of acrylic paint. Participants will learn basic “do’s and don’ts” of painting techniques and complete small-scale projects that will provide them with plenty of confidence to continue their practice at home!
MATERIAL COST:
$35 to be paid to the instructor on the day of the workshop.
THE INSTRUCTOR:
Milda has drawn, sculpted, and painted all her life. After completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Arts with a 1st class degree and commendation in UK, Milda has extensively painted and exhibited in UK (Pump house in Cheltenham, Guildhall Arts Center-Gloucester, Pump house, Mafuji, Arcola and Century and other galleries in London). She has taught workshops at Guildhall art centre in Gloucester.
Milda has recently exhibited at Charlotte Glencross Gallery and has been awarded as top 50 Canadian artists award by marketeer competitions, Canada.

About the organizer
NBCCD has been an ambassador for craft and design since the 1930s. We’ve run evening and weekend courses for the public in addition to our diploma programs for decades. With the Honeybee Folk School, we have expanded our programming to include courses in sustainability and traditional skills, alongside popular courses in contemporary craft and design. Just like the honeybee works best in a hive, we see a community that can work together to design a creative and flourishing future for all.
