12 – 19 years old:
Date: 2 weeks – July 17th – 21st and July 24th – 28th
Time: 9 am – 4 pm
Cost: $435

Description:

A two week intensive theatre camp that offers a complete theatrical experience. Students will look at acting, improv, movement and singing in an ensemble setting. These campers will work together to put on a full length theatre performance for friends and family.

No experience needed.

TRACY CARROLL

Tracy has worked as a Director, Dramaturg, Teacher, Youth Theatre Programmer and Producer for many years in both Ontario and Alberta. She has run the Education Department at Magnus Theatre in Thunder Bay, has been the Artistic Associate- North for Alberta Playwrights’ Network and has held the position of Artistic Associate at the Citadel Theatre where she co-created and directed KidsPlay @ the Citadel, a series of plays for children and their families.

She has also been the Coordinator of KidsFringe at the Edmonton Fringe Festival and was part of the WORK PLAYS Schools program team at the Alberta Workers’ Health Centre, where she booked many school tours of WORK PLAYS and That’s Danger! and Directed the latter production in 2014.

She is passionate about theatre for children and youth and has had a long relationship with touring company Concrete Theatre, having worked as a director and dramaturg on several of their productions and also as creator of the school residency program called Acting Our Colours.

She has Produced, Directed and Dramaturged the plays Beneath the Ice by Eva Colmers and The Book of Ashes by Emil Sher, which was presented last year at the Northern Alberta International Children’s Festival. Coming up in the Fall, Tracy will be directing The Bully Project at Concrete Theatre and teaching playwriting at the Citadel Theatre.


PAUL MORGAN DONALD

Paul Morgan Donald is a musician, composer, and actor with a long history of work in the Edmonton theatre community. A multi-instrumentalist, Paul has a great deal of experience teaching and coaching actors on voice and musical instruments, and leading workshops for all ages and levels of ability. A skilled musical improviser, Paul is the Musical Director for Die-Nasty, Edmonton’s long-running improvised soap-opera, and a frequent musical improviser with Rapid Fire Theatre, Grindstone Theatre, and Atomic Improv, as well as appearing as an actor/musician with the Citadel Theatre, the Free Will Shakespeare Festival, and the Mayfield Theatre, among others.
