He will also bring some practical skills on and how to choose Food, Tea, and Herb according individuals body constitution.

More About Our Keynote Speakers:

Philip Rose-Neil BA (Hons) Lic.AcMBAcC, Chairman British Acupuncture Council. Philip qualified with a first class Honours degree in acupuncture in 2011 from the College of

Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. His father, Sidney Rose-Neil was one of the pioneers of acupuncture in the UK and established the predecessor organisation to the current acupuncture regulatory body. Philip's special areas of interest include internal medicine, neurology, palliative oncology and fertility.

He has post-graduate training in integrated medicine, pain management (including battlefield acupuncture method), infertility and andrology). Philip is following in his father's footsteps by playing an active role in the acupuncture profession. His public roles include:

• Elected member of the Governing Board of the British Acupuncture Council

• The British Acupuncture Council's Regional Group Co-ordinator in the Northampton area

• Presenter at the 2012 and 2013 British Acupuncture Council Annual Conferences

• Addressed the United Nations at UN HQ representing the UK paediatric and adolescent

integrated medicine (special mentioned and congratulated by then UN president Kofi

Annan)

• The keynote speaker at the British Acupuncture Council Conference.

Lucy Griffiths B.Sc hons TCM, Member British Acupuncture Council, CMAAC, CCATCM Dean of

Acupuncture

Graduated 2002 as youngest professional acupuncturist in UK and 1 of the first to hold a UK university degree in TCM. Was trained by a unique mix of Chinese and English TCM doctors, giving a completely rounded, adaptable technique. The only TCM acupuncturist to work with a GP in the UK, contracted for over 10 years to run a multi-bed clinic in the surgery once a week to treat GP referrals. Full time private practice 2002 until sold it in 2018 to move permanently to Nova Scotia.

Dr. Zhou-Ph.D in botany from Chinese Academy of Sciences. Jinsong Zhou is the owner of HELLO HERBS organic herb and nutrition store. He has 9 years teaching experience on Chinese herbal Medicine at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, one of the most famous TCM university in China. He is fascinated with medical plants and herb application from all over the word, he is very excited to share his knowledge with others.

Michael Kydd

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Michael moved to Nova Scotia in 2003 where he completed his public relations degree (highest aggregate) and is currently working towards a Masters degree in theology at the Atlantic School of Theology.

With more than 18 years working in private and public sectors as a public relations professional,

Michael has served in various roles, including media relations, politics, government, social media engagement, content writing, and crisis/issues management. Between 2007 and 2010 Michael managed communications for the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation and the Progressive Conservative caucus during two of the biggest media crises to hit Nova Scotia: the retailer wins scandal and the MLA expense scandal. Since then, he has helped lead stakeholder relations for Prostate Cancer Canada Atlantic; served as president of Merit Nova Scotia, an employer association with a mandate to represent workers in the NS construction industry; and managed research and media relations for the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies. Michael was also hired by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 2011 to provide on air commentary on political and media issues affecting Nova Scotia.. Michael currently lives in Bedford, Nova Scotia where he consults clients on crisis management and media relations strategies. His advice has been sought by Canadian parliamentary and Senate committees on different issues, including digital privacy, worker safety and trade union legislation. He has spent most of his career working for political leaders, shaping public policy, teaching business communication and consumer behaviour at the university level, and managing business development and government relations at various corporations and charitable organizations. Michael is a proud father of two children (Sophie and Nathan) and enjoys spending time at the hockey rink, fishing, urban exploring, and astrophotography. He is also a member of St. Ignatius Parish in Bedford where he manages communication and outreach programs for parishioners.
