AFTER EFFECTS ANIMATION BASICS: PATHS, MASKS, AND KEYFRAMES with Zeesy Powers

Description: Learn the basic tools to create an animation. After Effects Animation Basics will instruct on these foundational tools such as paths, masks, and keyframes for many advanced effects like morphing, particles, and 3D.

Program Outline:

AFTER EFFECTS ANIMATION BASICS: PATHS, MASKS, AND KEYFRAMES:

1. Be introduced to Paths;

2. Learn about Masks and their function;

3. Introduction to Keyframes;

4. Learn how to effectively manipulate layers using these functions of paths, masks, and keyframes;

5. Learn about advanced effects like morphing, particles, and 3D.

After Effects Animation Basics: Paths, Masks, and Keyframes is scheduled at Richview Library on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm.

Workshop Instructor Bio:

Zeesy Powers’ work explores the unstated rules and narratives on which society is based, and what happens when these are made explicit. She has performed and exhibited internationally at venues including PS 122 (NY), CCA Kitakyushu (Japan), The Power Plant, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. In 2014, a collection of her short stories was published by WAAP in Vancouver. In 2015, she was Artist in Residence at the Toronto Public Library. She is a recipient of numerous grants for her new media work, and is a nominee for the 2016 K.M. Hunter Award. Powers lives and works in Toronto.
