Description

In this 3 session workshop students will be introduced to the basics of working with the glorious colours and versatility of Soft Pastels. Students will be given an overview of basic drawing techniques and colour processes that will offer a good foundation for designing and making pastel drawings of landscapes. We will then discuss various technical aspects of working with soft pastels, some of the different papers and drawing accessories available. See course outline for material list.

ART SUPPLIES: Adult students must supply their own materials UNLESS noted otherwise. Course outlines containing the supply lists will be available on the AGB website under Education registration page.

ATTIRE: Please dress in clothing that reflects the nature of the activity. Your clothing may get messy from the materials and mediums utilized in your class. Also, closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

ALLERGIES OR SPECIAL NEEDS? Important - Notify us on your regsitration if the student has an allergy, health concerns, or a learning disability that could impact participation in the class. We would like to remind you that we are a nut-free facility. Please ensure that any food or drink items that you bring into the AGB are free of nut products. We appreciate your cooperation.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY Refunds are cheques payable to registrants, subject to the following:

1. The AGB reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if minimum enrollment is not met.

2. If a course is cancelled, registrants will be notified up to a week prior to the start date of the class.

3. Requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Creative Programs Coordinator.

4. No refunds will be given after the 2nd week of a course.

5. Except for courses canceled by the gallery, all refunds will be subject to a twenty-five dollar administration charge and a pro-rated deduction for classes up to AND including the date of the refund request.

6. Refunds will be issued within six weeks of the cancellation.

7. Save your receipt for tax purposes.
