With data being captured and analyzed at increasingly higher rates, the demand for professionals who can build big data solutions is high: properly exploited data can give businesses a huge competitive advantage. In the next few years, the career opportunities for big data analysts will increase tremendously. More and more companies are finding that the use of data analytics provides a better overall business perspective and, as a result, are able to make more strategic decisions.

Join us for an interactive discussion on the 28th March 2019 at 5.30 PM.
at the MCIT campus, downtown.

Montreal College’s Business Analyst in Information Technology – Big Data Developer program will provide you with tools and skills to collect, manage, analyze and interpret data. We will also provide you with the hands-on experience you need to get an edge. Big data being a relatively new field, it will be up to you to increase your already formidable technical skills and stay ahead of new trends and technologies. This is not a career in which you can afford to fall behind!

The Big Data program at MCIT offers the skills needed to create big data solutions by learning how to extract information with software such as Hadoop, Spark, and SQL. Students will learn how to analyze work functions and develop conceptual models using a structured approach. Moreover, they will be able to use a programming language to create and use databases to process information in a management context.

For specialists looking to advance their career, the next step is a management or executive role in the IT department.

You can also meet our Industry-Expert Instructors and know more about pipelines, processes and Industry standard workflows. Our dedicated staff have you covered in case you have questions about Loans and Scholarships.

Have a chance to get career advice and meet with our Subject-Matter Experts. If you are looking for a place to start, then check out our programs and courses to see what we have to offer. Learn more

Who should do this program?

Anyone looking to have a career in IT requires knowledge and skills from an extremely diverse set of fields: mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics, IT and a set of software programming tools such as Java. This means that while almost anyone with an interest in numbers can get in, everyone needs some sort of training and Data Analytics is not so much about tools or technologies, it is a way of thinking that allows the use of knowledge, tools and technologies to extract valuable insights from data.
A background in programming is a valuable asset.

What will you learn?

Improve decision-making capabilities and business performance using Data Analytics to make better business decisions. This course gives you an opportunity to analyze complex data sets, work with popular data tool sets, and structures for taking spontaneous business orders for leading companies in the market.
