About this event

From shorts to features, and film to TV. The DARC Advanced Screenwriting workshop is a drop-in writing group for participants hoping to develop their own individual writing projects. Split into two lunch time meet-ups , this program is meant to be a safe creative workspace where writers share their work in a group setting led by instructor Nate Estabrooks. As part of the workshop writers are expected to provide and give feedback to the group on their fellow participants' submissions.

Sessions

Session 1: Wednesday October 13th, 12pm-1pm

Session 2: Wednesday October 27th , 12pm-1pm

Instructor

Nate Estabrooks is a graduate of the prestigious Norman Jewison Canadian Film Centre and member of the Director’s Guild of Canada. Nate Estabrooks is a workshop instructor with a wide and practical film path to draw from. As a talented feature director, VFX artist and award-winning screenwriter, he is a founding member of Space Tigers Inc, a production pipeline offering VFX and post-production services and continues to develop his toolset through 360 videos, VR storytelling and computer-generated imagery.

Prerequisite

Screenwriting course OR submit a 10pg script sample by the registration deadline. Please email your project to access@sawvideo.com.

Cancellation Policy

DARC is unable to provide course attendee refunds for cancellations. DARC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses if necessary.
