Event description

Description

Experienced qualitative researchers are invited to participate in a special 1-day symposium in Montreal on October 3rd, 2017 to advance our thinking and application of critical qualitative inquiry in health and healthcare. The program will feature two keynote speakers:

  • Joan Eakin, Professor Emerita, University of Toronto

  • Paula Gardner, Assistant Professor, Brock University

Participants are expected to join as active contributors, reading a modest amount of material in advance and engaging in a series of facilitated workshops to explore critical qualitative inquiry as a complex and often politically engaged research endeavor. Our discussion together will begin with a networking dinner the evening before the symposium.

Numbers are limited!

Registration includes reception and networking dinner October 2 at 6pm; breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch on October 3. Limited to a maximum of 60 participants (including a maximum of 10 graduate/postdoctoral trainees).

Please note that accommodation and transportation must be booked separately!
