Join Ecosource and York University for our FREE Advanced Teacher Training Certification Program
Thanks to the support from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Ecosource and York University are partnering to bring you a newly updated Advanced Teacher training program! The Approaches to Sustainability Education Teacher Certification Program provides the tools to empower elementary and secondary school teachers to implement sustainability education and active citizenship in their school communities.
HOW IT WORKS
The program consists of live, interactive online learning sessions for educators and is led by Ecosource, York University professors, and other guest speakers. Each session will run up to 2 hours and take place on weekday evenings. Participants are eligible to receive a certificate of recognition issued by Ecosource and York University upon the completion of 4 or more of the 8 offerings below:
FEB.11.2021; 4-6pm EST: Nature Play & Fostering Outdoor Connection
FEB.23.2021; 4-6pm EST: Food Systems & Gardening for the Curriculum
MAR.9.2021; 4-5:30pm EST: Grant-Writing & Fundraising for Environmental Projects
MAR.25.2021; 4-6:00pm EST: Reconciliation & Land-Based Learning in Our Schools
Early APR (TBD)4-6pm EST: Where Environmentalism Meets Social Justice
APR.28.2021; 4-6pm EST: Action Planning for Impactful Eco Initiatives
MAY.12.2021; 4-6pm EST: Virtual Knowledge Exchange Gathering
MAY.26.2021; 4-6pm EST: Climate Change & Inspiring Youth Action

Registrants will receive an email reminder approximately 1 week before the module followed by an email the day before the module with the Zoom link.
