About this Event

Join us for an in-depth discussion about the options and trade-offs that the City of Richmond will be exploring as we shape the draft of the renewed Community Energy and Emissions Plan.

We can’t wait to have a dynamic discussion with residents from different backgrounds (age, culture, gender, etc), so please invite your friends and family.

Light refreshments will be served.

AGENDA:

  • 6 pm: Doors open, registration and get settled in with refreshments
  • 6:30 pm: City of Richmond presentation and questions
  • 7 pm: Community discussions
  • 9 pm: Event ends

RSVP through one of three ways:

In March 2019, Richmond City Council declared a climate emergency in response to the urgent call set out by the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) - joining more than 600 cities across the world that have made similar declarations – and directed staff to gain feedback from residents and stakeholders regarding GHG reduction targets and measures consistent with limiting global average warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial temperatures.
