The Canada Forum for Impact Investment and Development (CAFIID) published the 2021 State of the Sector (SotS) Report, which tracked the scale, trends, and outlook for Canadian impact investing in developing and emerging economies. The report provides a snapshot of Canada’s contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change through impact investing.
CAFIID is hosting an afternoon hybrid event to provide a forum for reflection on ways to advance the impact investment in emerging and frontier markets. The event will explore how to strengthen Canada’s contribution to the global impact investing ecosystem by providing members with opportunities to learn, share, collaborate, and act as a collective voice.
The interactive session will involve small in-person group discussion. Please choose the theme which most interest you at checkout and we will do our best to add you to that group:
Advancing Canadian leadership in Gender Lens Investing (GLI)
Deepen diversity, equity and inclusion in impact investing
Harmonizing impact standards
Mobilizing institutional investors
Updating taxonomies and fiduciary duty - turbocharging or slowing down investment opportunities
Expanding participation of INGOs and philanthropic capital
If you are attending online, the group discussion will focus on advancing Canadian leadership in Gender Lens Investing (GLI) (The Zoom link to join will be available on your event confirmation email).
Light refreshments will be served at the break.
