Online event
Rachel is excited to take you on an adventure to Vietnam, where she went to study plastic litter.
About this event
Rachel is an aquatic ecology and pollution researcher at the University of Toronto. She is interested in how cities, and the pollution that they create, affect the wildlife that lives in streams and rivers.
From her 24 hour travel journey, to walking knee deep in the mud, to all of the interesting critters she encountered, get ready for a trip to another world! Rachel is going to tell you about all the interesting finds, and how the plastic litter affected the animals she saw.
When she is not knee-deep in Toronto’s Humber river, you can find Rachel dancing, biking around the city, picking through trash with the U of T Trash Team, or experimenting with fermentation in her kitchen. www.rachelkgiles.com
This program is virtual and is delivered through Zoom and on Facebook Live.
