Description

Session Overview

For many high net worth clients, charitable giving is something they are already doing, but, as always, planning is the key to amplifying both philanthropic impact and their personal fulfillment. At these sessions, Paul Nazareth from the Canadian Association of Gift Planners will share insight into the current landscape of Canadian philanthropy and where your clients are already engaged. You will be led through a series of discussions and case studies of not just tax benefits, but how to have ‘the conversation’ about personal legacy through asset based giving and estate planning.

Session Takeaways

  • A conversation roadmap to more deeply engage with current clients and add value to them as a philanthropic advisor.
  • Ideas on how to grow your book of business and engage new clients through the philanthropic conversation and what products fall into this strategy (ex: life insurance, securities)
  • A better understanding of many new trends in philanthropy (advised funds, crowdfunding, social-impact movements, etc.).
  • Insight into how United Way is evolving to meet these trends and is able to partner with you in empowering your clients’ philanthropic vision.
  • This session qualifies for professional development education credits.
  • Light refreshments will be provided.
