Description

ADVISORY BIKE LANES - A NEW WAY TO SHARE THE ROAD

Ottawa is the first city in Canada to test European style advisory bike lanes. It’s a new way for motorists and cyclists to share the road on low volume, low speed streets. The first set of advisory bike lanes have been installed on Somerset St E. The second set will be implemented on Byron Ave. with up to two more locations to be included in the pilot. The presentation will summarize what advisory bike lanes are, how they work, where they are considered, and the results of the pilot evaluation to date.
