The Alberta Epigenetics Network (AEN) is pleased to announce the first Veterinary & Animal Sciences Epigenetics Symposium in partnership with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary.
The symposium would have presentations from faculty and students in the area of Epigenetic techniques including non-coding RNA, epigenetic regulation of gene expression, bisulfite sequencing, epigenetic regulation of reproductive development in animals, epigenetic influence of prenatal nutrition, bioinformatics and metabolomics. The event is free to attend but the organizers require an RSVP as seating is limited.
AEN is a multidisciplinary multi-institutional network of researchers and practitioners in Alberta (and beyond) interested in understanding the role of epigenetics in human and animal health. AEN aims to enhance epigenetics knowledge, technology creation and knowledge translation in the province. An area of interest for AEN is Veterinary Medicine and this symposium would provide an opportunity for researchers at the Universities of Alberta and Lethbridge to come together with their colleagues from University of Calgary and share research in the area of Veterinary Epigenetics in the province.
