Description

Although Thomas Edison could easily find one of his original light bulbs in operation today, the energy industry has made some significant changes over the last 10 years, but is poised for momentous advancement and major redesign over the next decade. With distributed energy resource technologies rapidly advancing; becoming more economically viable; customers becoming more energy savvy and increasingly concerned with resiliency, and climate change impacting and disrupting the current systems, critical change is imminent.

Join colleagues and industry professionals for an afternoon of engaging discussions, featuring:

  • Anthony (Tony) Cupido, Research Chair, Sustainability, Mohawk College
  • Brennan Louw, Senior Manager, Sector & System Development, IESO
  • Andrew Battaglia, Sales Engineer Energy Storage, Enel X North America
  • Dr. James Cotton, Professor, Associate Director, McMaster Institute of Energy Studies, McMaster University
  • Michael Geauvreau,Energy Management Advisor, North Bay Hydro

The Summit will be followed by a tour of the Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation - a recently completed, cost effective, net zero facility. The tour will be followed by a networking reception including food stations, a complimentary refreshment and cash bar.
