The Netherlands is ranked #6 in the Global AgeWatch 2015. What makes this country successful in aging? The strength and expertise of a new generation of older adults is a new source for maintaining the success. This changed demographic requires that we develop new perspectives that are reflective of the change. Older adults should be perceived by professionals, public and themselves and accordingly act as active stakeholders in their life and within the community as a whole. As important stakeholders, they bear a responsibility in articulating, designing and implementing social innovations, services and products. This asks for a new breed of professionals: Individuals who are experts in aging ánd co-creation. These professionals may work together with all older adults in maintaining this paradise in transition.
