Event description
Join us to learn about the Community Climate Action Plan being developed by the City of Kamloops!

About this Event

The BC Sustainable Energy Association, Kamloops Chapter, will host guest speaker Glen Cheetham, City of Kamloops Sustainability Services Supervisor on November 28. Glen will update us on the work done to date developing the Kamloops Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP). The topic is of interest to anyone who lives in the Kamloops area and would like to see how our community can reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. You will be among the first to get a preview of programs and policies being considered and gain insight into the major sources of our community GHG emissions, with an opportunity to ask questions.

Glen will also share what’s happening with the Plastic Carry-out Bag Bylaw and the implementation of the BC Energy Step Code.

The event will start with a short Kamloops Chapter Annual General Meeting (AGM) of about 20 minutes. You’ll learn more about our organization and members will be able to vote in the steering committee elections.
