Description

You are invited to a free panel discussion with Shannon Phillips, Alberta Minister of Environment and Parks and Minister responsible for the Climate Change Office, and prominent Calgary energy economist Peter Tertzakian. Register now for this special event, “Alberta in 2050: Visions for a Low-carbon Economy.

The panel also includes Anouk Kendall, President of Decentralised Energy Canada as well as University of Calgary student and President of Fuse Collective, Ben Huang, The event will be moderated by David Layzell, Professor and Director of the Canadian Energy Systems Analysis Research (CESAR) Initiative at the University of Calgary.

The event starts at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25 in the Energy, Environment, Experiential Learning (EEEL) building at the University of Calgary (see map). Students and other attendees will be able to participate in a Q&A session with the panel, followed by an opportunity to engage one-on-one with Minister Phillips and other leaders in energy, environment, and sustainability.

This special event is presented by the Canadian Energy Systems Analysis Research (CESAR) Initiative at the University of Calgary and the Fuse Collective student group.
