Event description
Our member-exclusive Shredding events are back! Now featuring convenient personal appointments and health measures to boost your safety.

About this event

We’re committed to protecting the things that matter most—that includes your personal information and your health. AMA Shredding events allow you to safely dispose of up to four small boxes or bags of sensitive documents, all without physical contact. Simply drive up, pop your trunk, and let our masked and gloved staff remove your shredding materials.

New for 2021, your four-bag/box entitlement can include a maximum of one small bag of mixed media (e.g. cellphones (battery removed), microfiche, DVDs, cassette tapes, hard drives*).

The food bank will also be onsite collecting non-perishable food items as part of AMA’s Fill Our Fleet program. All donations are welcome.

*Get full details to help you prepare, including what you can and can’t shred at ama.ab.ca/shredding.

Organizer of Alberta Motor Association Shredding Event - Red Deer, June 19

Our Roots Run Deep

We began helping Alberta drivers way back in the day — 1926, to be exact. To add some perspective, that’s before the invention of nylon, before women were allowed to compete on Canadian olympic teams, and one year before “Alfalfa” from The Little Rascals was born.

Wow, way to make us feel old.

Today, we’ve grown to a multi-service organization with over 950,000 amazing members that includes:

Add to that our affiliation with the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA), and the American Automobile Association (AAA), it’s safe to say that we’re aging pretty well.
