Event description

Description

The needs to get your community organized has never been more acute. To assist with this, Alberta Together has worked with noted political organizer Jaskaran Sandhu to develop a course to help get people started on their journey to be a better organizer.

Organizing is applicable to both political and community initiatives. This is a non-partisan course designed to introduce attendees to tools and strategies. We hope you can join us for one of our two sessions.

Sunday Morning Session: November 19 9am - 1pm

Sunday Afternoon Session: November 19 2pm - 6pm

**Unfortunately our Friday Nov 17th had to be cancelled due to a scheduling conflict**

Alberta Together presents a three part introductory workshop:

Guts and a labcoat: campaign and advocacy in a brave new world.

Part 1: What gets the people going (The political brain)
Part 2: Nudge nudge. (Behavioural science and weapons of influence)
Part 3: Ding dong (Push people out the door and into action)

This 4 hours session will give you an introduction to community organizing strategy and tools.

Light refreshments will be provided.
