Project Profile:
With the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) membership continuing to grow the need for a new headquarters was needed. The design and construction of the new building will make use of various green materials and mechanical systems and will be LEED Silver Certified.
Presenter:
Mohammad Moayyed, M.A.Sc, P.Eng., MCSCE
Backed by over 20 years of industry experience, Mohammad is a Senior Associate at Entuitive with a practical approach to problem solving and a drive to see things through to completion. He has a great eye for details and genuine interest in leading a team to achieve a common goal. His greatest pleasure comes from working on complicated challenges and mentoring junior staff.
Mohammad began his career in consulting in 1993 for design of building, infrastructure, and industrial developments. During 14 years of engineering practice in Iran, he worked in various positions culminating to leadership position in multi-disciplined firms.
In 2007, Mohammad and his family came to Canada and began his career in consulting engineering. He has also completed his Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on composite materials in construction from Dalhousie University in 2010.
During his time in Canada, Mohammad has participated in engineering and management of several multi-disciplined and construction-managed projects
Scott Hawryluk
Scott is a multi-skilled Project Manager and Architectural Technologist with comprehensive experience in design, construction documentation, and construction administration. He continually displays an ability to lead project teams to successfully deliver complex and challenging building solutions. With a background in construction, Scott is as comfortable in the trenches as he is at his computer and is well respected by the teams he contributes to and leads. Scott has a natural tendency to work collaboratively to find amicable solutions to issues as they arise on site.
Always on the lookout for strategic technology solutions to project challenges, Scott is particularly focused on BIM and data-led design. Within Next, Scott’s primary role is that of a Principal and Digital Practice Leader, providing training for all colleagues and ensuring our foundational practice, processes and tools are world-class. He is passionate about facilitating the adoption of BIM at all project stages through smarter integration of all disciplines. His leadership is paramount in the delivery and development of Model Based Project Delivery in architecture at Next, and our move away from archaic, 2D content.
Scott has gained a wide range of experience as a technologist in the Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Sectors. He also provides technical leadership and expertise, working directly with project teams as they continue to implement BIM at greater levels of detail (LOD 300 to LOD 350+) on a variety of project types and delivery methods
