Event Info
All it takes to be “Hackathon ready” is the willingness to learn. The registration deadline is November 6, 2019 at 11:59pm, and we only have a limited number of spots, so apply as soon as possible! Please complete the application form below and we will contact the selected participants directly.
We are looking for breakthrough ideas and concepts that will help take our PlayWise brand to the next level, in a way that resonates with a broad range of players. It is also essential for us to really emphasize that gambling should always be fun and safe, that we promote responsible gambling, and that we work to prevent underage gambling.
It's more than just a Hackathon; over three days, all participants will receive training and guidance to take their ideas through to propositions, how to push creative thinking and how to come up with the best possible concepts. The training will be delivered by Two Igloos, a leading Innovation and Customer Strategy agency, based in Toronto and London, whose clients include: Pearson, Levi's, InComm, Jameson, Wilfrid Laurier University, Proximo Spirits and more. Participants will work as part of different teams, with all teams pitching their concepts and prototypes at the end of the third day.
Participants will not only have the opportunity to work with a leading agency, but work with an established corporate innovation team to address real challenges within Atlantic Canada. With $3,000 in prizes available, the winning team will leave with a prize of $1,500 and the opportunity to see their idea brought to life.
Put your thinking to the test and apply it! To take part in the event, register through Eventbrite and a representative will contact you directly for the next steps in the application process. Anyone within Atlantic Canada is welcome to register.
