Event description

Description

Our industry will always have elements of risk. It is crucial that all emergency response tactics, security measures and safety standards are well understood to support the visitor experience. So how do we ensure that appropriate processes are in place and that they are followed during a threat?

SPEAKERS:

Paul McCarthy, Director of PBM Safety

Paul has worked with some of the biggest names in the Australian and International entertainment industry, such as Phil Collins, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, U2 and even Michael Jackson!

In 1996, Paul relocated to Melbourne with a desire to understand Corporate and Venue Technical Management. He was hired by The Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre (MCEC) as Staging Manager and then Technical Services Manager and was also headhunted for a move to Colonial Stadium (Etihad Stadium) as Technical Manager/Occupational Health and Safety Manager. Some 30 years down the track, with a wealth of diverse experience and credentials behind him, Paul established himself as one of Australia’s most experienced Audio Visual and OHS consultants, now directing PBM Safety.

PBM Safety is a recognised industry leader in safety and risk management for the event and entertainment industry and a member of National Safety Council of Australia and The Safety Institute of Australia.
