Algonquin College students and the public are invited to the Brad Feld and Sean Wise Pitch Tour, and Book Launch presented by Intuit Quickbooks hosted by L-Spark and Algonquin College.
Brad Feld—cofounder of Foundry Group and Techstars, investor in Makerbot, Fitbit, Zynga, Betabrand— is touring Canada, hunting for the next big thing and promoting his new book: Startup Opportunities: Know When to Quit Your Day Job.
Brad will sit down with the community and co author Dr. Sean Wise—Professor of Entrepreneurship, host of The Naked Entrepreneur and Startup Canada’s 2014 “Mentor of the Year”—to discuss entrepreneurship, startups, and opportunities worth pursuing. Each attendee will receive a FREE copy of the new book.
Two student groups will also have a chance to pitch to Feld and Wise, Dragons’ Den style in front of the live audience. The winning company, across the national competition, will win a $25,000 investment from Wise’s venture fund, Ryerson Futures.

About the Event Host: L-SPARK & Algonquin College
L-SPARK is an Ottawa-based Incubator and Accelerator with a laser focus on the Enterprise Software market. By providing entrepreneurs and startups with access to industry mentors, sector-focused venture capital firms and angel investors, the objective is to support a deal flow of fundable enterprise startup companies and support an enterprise-focused startup ecosystem in the region. The L-SPARK team will assist founders in navigating their unique journey in the Enterprise Software and software-as-a-service (SaaS) sectors. Together with mentors, investors and selected corporate partners, founders will shape their path to success.
