ALL-DAY NATIONAL TEACH-IN:
The New Taboo: Respect for the Rule of Law in Canada

Many Canadians seek to better understand what are their rights in law and how these rights and free speech itself can be understood and protected. There are organizations and “political tribes” that threaten the Rule of Law in Canada. This national Teach-In program will feature extensive, in-depth and sensitive content about who those disruptors are, the threats they pose to traditional respect for the rule of law, and how new measures can be taken by law-abiding Canadians to address these threats. Come expecting to hear powerful confidential briefings and empowering details about lawfare, public and private prosecutions, government relations, outing terrorists, campus free speech pledges and much more.

This Teach-In will expose those who are working to undermine the civil rights of minority groups and using radical extreme views to justify it. It will educate people on how to uphold their basic rights to free speech and assembly. The Teach-In will specifically address the range of challenges posed to the rule of law by the radical left, radical Islamists, and the radical right. Come hear outstanding speakers about training and organizing of lawfare on eight priority topics, including:

  1. TAKE ACTION AGAINST PROPAGATORS OF MISINFORMATION IN THE MEDIA

  2. HATE SPEECH

  3. RELIGION IN THE “PUBLIC SPACE”

  4. DISCRIMINATION IN ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS – PARTICULARLY “HATE CRIMES”

  5. TERRORISM AND PUBLIC SAFETY

  6. LAWFARE: SUCCESSFUL APPROACHES ELSEWHERE

  7. REGISTERED CHARITIES AND NON-CHARITABLE/ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

  8. ACTIONS AGAINST BDS

LOCATION:

Registered attendees and media pass holders will be notified at 12 noon on the Thursday before the event.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Purpose: This day-long program in “teach in” format is intended to build an active group of volunteer social media researchers, staff, lawyers and others who will create a national program to support the rule of law across a spectrum of mandate areas, each of which will have its own research training working group. We hope to excite two hundred people who will want to volunteer and join our ranks—this will involve a little training and a commitment to volunteer at least two hours a month at home to litigation and related-action research.

Organizing Framework: This program will focus on what can be done and what should/must be done – a definite, positive call to specific actions on eight priority topic areas. The conference will not be yet another opportunity to tell the audience (frequently the same people) what is happening in our world. There will be booths, speakers, food, techniques training, networking opportunities, and in-depth sensitive and security-topic information that you’ve literally never seen or heard of before.

Venue: Toronto venue to be announced
