Event description

Description

We asked some residents of the Beltline community to create one-time tours of Lougheed House that reflect not the stories that we want to tell, but the stories that they want to tell.

We gave each of them access to the House, the collection and archives, and a resource library, as well as training in engagement, in order to research the House and the surrounding Beltline community. They each came back with their own unique interpretive experience that they want to share with the public.

Throughout May, each community resident will "take over" Lougheed House and give their custom-made hour-long tour only once, to a maximum of 30 people. As you move throughout the House's three floors, you'll see Lougheed House in surprising new ways, through the eyes of fascinating residents of our Beltline community.

Lougheed House is accessible for visitors using wheelchairs. We have a ramp entrance on the south-west corner of the house and an elevator.
