Alzheimer Society: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

Facilitated in partnership with a public education coordinator from the Alzheimer Society, this virtual workshop will address questions surrounding mild cognitive impairment such as:

  • What is mild cognitive impairment (MCI)?
  • What is the difference between normal aging, MCI and dementia?
  • Why should I pursue a diagnosis?
  • What are the causes, prognosis and treatments for MCI?
  • How can MCI be managed?

This workshop is open to individuals living with MCI and their caregivers as well as health care providers that support family caregivers in their work.

Due to limited capacity, we would like to request you to register with strong intention of attending.

*Participants are expected to sign into the session 5 minutes before the start of the session. To reduce interruptions during the session, no one will be admitted after 15 minutes of the start of the session. It is recommended that participants test their systems before the start of the session, to ensure their technology will work. Joining the session with your microphone and camera on (if possible) is recommended to get the most out of each session. You can join from your smartphone, laptop or tablet. Calling in on the telephone line is not recommended. A minimum of 5 participants is required in order to run a session.
