If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is an amazing opportunity for you!
Amnesty International U of T invites you to our annual International Women’s Day event on Thursday, March 16th, 2017. This year’s theme is “Women in Power.” This event will consist of a panel discussion, followed by a workshop facilitated by Olivia Chow, former MP and now a distinguished visiting professor at Ryerson university. Also joining us will be Kona Williams, Canada’s first indigenous forensic pathologist. Our MC will be journalist and illustrator, Hana Shafi.
Come join us as we further engage in the dialogue of women’s empowerment and human rights.

When: 6:00- 8:00 pm
In following Amnesty tradition, we will also be holding a brief letter writing session, which means you will have the opportunity to directly advocate for justice against global human rights violations. Instructions will be provided.
