Join the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association (AMPA) for the Sales Intensive: Build and Market Your Integrated Sales Program, with Melissa Ahlstrand and Michelle Kalman on August 18, 2014 in Calgary.

Learn how to bring success to your integrated sales strategy in today’s media landscape. This full-day power session will include an in-depth look at what to consider when creating and developing a highly valued integrated program that’s right for your magazine.

Session topics include:

  • How advertisers’ expectations are changing in today’s media landscape
  • Incorporating multiple media platforms: mobile, digital, print, events, social, sponsorships, promotions and contests
  • Using integrated programs to position print products
  • How to price and measure the success of your program
  • Maximizing industry relationships to drive integrated sales solutions
  • Increasing awareness through cross promotion – proprietary and external
  • Innovative ways to increase market share


Presenters

As former VP Creative Marketing at St. Joseph Media, Michelle Kalman spearheaded marketing, events and sales promotions for award-winning magazine and digital brands including Toronto Life, FASHION Magazine, Weddingbells and WHERE. Client projects as a creative consultant include the co-creation and launch of The Kit digital magazine (Torstar), as well as creative directing media kits, content and events for digital and print brands including EnRoute, Parents Canada and Unbound Media.

Melissa Ahlstrand was appointed Publisher at FLARE in 2012, and became Group Publisher, Fashion & Beauty brands in March 2014. Responsibilities in her current role include FLARE, Hello! Canada, Cosmetics and Cosmetique. Her extensive experience in the publishing industry also includes senior sales positions with St. Joseph Media’s FASHION Magazine, as well as Time Out New York, George Magazine and Entertainment Weekly.
