These workshops have been designed specifically for students in the Arts Management Field Placement Stream (FPS) who are preparing to go out on placement as early as Summer 2016. Other students in the Department of Arts, Culture and Media are also welcome to attend. RSVP required.

Ella Cooper is an award winning multimedia artist, filmmaker, educator, creative facilitator and community organizer. She currently serves as the Equity Program Lead for the arts and equity partnership initiative between SKETCH, Toronto Arts Foundation and the Neighbourhood Arts Network and has been working in the arts and culture sector as both an artist, administrator and educator for the last 15 years.
Ella is known for delivering empowering creative community centred programs across Canada and continues to be a featured guest speaker and facilitator for international workshops, conferences & events which have included panels for New York University, the Canadian Dance Assembly, Canadian Public Arts Funders, the Association of Cultural Executives, Technology in the Arts Conference, TAPA Trade Forum, the City of Toronto, OISE University of Toronto, Community Arts Council Vancouver, International Creative Art Therapies Conference, Luminato Festival, PYE Global, Regent Park Film Festival and the Bob Marley Foundation.
Ella also receives continued support from the Ontario Arts Council and Canada Council for her interdisciplinary art practice and documentary/dance films. Her latest documentary short ‘Black Men Loving’ won ‘Best Canadian Film’ at the Caribbean Tales International Film Festival and her creative work has been exhibited and shown on the CBC, Bell Fibe TV, plus galleries, festivals and public spaces in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. ellacooper.ca
