Event Information
Description
Please join us for the second public event as part of ChangeUp 2015, the Inspirit Foundation's national conference. On the evening of September 18th, we will welcome journalist and activist Desmond Cole and former Toronto Mayor and former Ontario Human Rights Commissioner Barbara Hall. Cole's recent cover story in Toronto Life magazine has sparked renewed discussion and debate about the controversial practice of police 'carding' racial minorities. He and Hall will discuss the role of protest and human rights in tackling systemic racism.
There will be American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters on hand at this event.
